Firefighters Respond to Report of Fire at 17 W. Ferry St. in New Hope

New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company responded Saturday evening to a reported fire at Goose Creek Pottery, located at 17 W. Ferry St. in New Hope.

The call went out at 7:08 p.m. to New Hope Eagle 46, Hunterdon County Engine 23 and Tower 17 in Lambertville, Central Bucks EMS, and New Hope Police, among others.

Goose Creek Pottery owner Ted Green said he had smelled a suspicious odor, and fire alarms sounded in the building.

Flames were never visible during the emergency, and firefighters scoured the site for the source of smoke, which hadn’t been determined at the time of this report. PECO personnel were expected to inspect the building Sunday.
