Update 6:40 p.m.: Missing New Hope teen Sophie Alberts has been located and is safe.
Alberts, 17, of Solebury Township, was reported missing earlier Tuesday by friends and police.
Friends urged anyone with information or who saw her to call 911, and Solbury Police asked to be contacted at (215) 348-7400.
Earlier, Solebury police said she was last seen in New Hope in the vicinity of West Bridge Street around 5 p.m. Monday. A South Main Street merchant reported seeing her at around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Alberts was reportedly wearing a blue and white striped shirt and black leggings. She is Hispanic, 4’9″ in height, 140 lbs., with dark brown eyes, and dark brown curly hair.
