New Jersey Police Beat: West Amwell and Lambertville Arrests

On Dec. 9, 2016, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Cesare stopped a vehicle on Linvale-Harbourton Road in the area of State Highway 31 for a motor vehicle violation. As Patrolman Cesare spoke with the driver, Davon Edwards, a 32-year-old male from Bronx, N.Y., he observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After an investigation, Edwards was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50 grams of Marijuana. After processing, Edwards was issued a motor vehicle summons, and was released on his own recognizance with a court date.

On Dec. 12, 2016, at approximately 3:21 p.m., Patrolman Cory Flemming was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Brunswick Pike in the area of Barry Road. After an investigation of the motor vehicle crash, the driver of the vehicle, Vincent Albano (a 24-year-old male from Hopewell, N.J.), was arrested for DWI. Albano was processed, issued motor vehicle summonses, and was released with a court date.

On Dec. 15, 2016, at approximately 9:06 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Kelly stopped a vehicle on Brunswick Pike in the area of Corsalo Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Stephen Thomas (a 54-year-old male from Hopewell, N.J.), was arrested for DWI. Thomas was processed, issued motor vehicle summonses, and released with a court date.

On Dec. 15, 2016, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Corporal Jonathan Sellner stopped a vehicle on Route 202 in the area of MM 1 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Colon (a 37-year-old male from North Brunswick, N.J.), was arrested for DWI. Colon was processed, issued motor vehicle summonses including DWI and Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing, and was released with a court date.

On Dec. 20, 2016, at approximately 8:26 p.m., Corporal Jonathan Sellner stopped a vehicle Rt 202 for a motor vehicle violation.  As Corporal Sellner spoke with the driver of the vehicle, Benjamin Tumolo (a 19-year-old male from Blue Bell) he observed the odor of marijuana. Tumolo was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50 grams of Marijuana, and was issued motor vehicle summonses. Tumolo was released with a court date after processing.

On Dec. 23, 2016, at approximately 8:51 p.m., Sergeant Timothy Vanselous was dispatched to Brunswick Pike in the area of Hunter Road for a motor vehicle crash. After an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Daniel McDonald (a 22-year-old male from Monmouth Junction, N.J.) was arrested for DWI. After processing, McDonald was released with a court date.

On Dec. 24, 2016, at approximately 5:54 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Cesare was dispatched to the area of Rt 31 for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Patrolman Cesare stopped the vehicle on Rt 202/31 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Rachel Prohigh, a 44-year-old female from Levittown, was arrested for DWI. After processing, Prohigh was charged with DWI and Neglect of a Child. Prohigh was released with a court date.

On Dec. 27, 2016, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Patrolman Paul Wolf was dispatched to the Quick Chek Store on Rt 31 for a report of a suspicious person on a motorcycle. After an investigation, the driver of the motorcycle, Yasir Fahmy (a 21-year-old male from Flemington, N.J.), was arrested for DWI. After processing, Fahmy was issued several motor vehicle summonses and was released with a court date.

Lambertville

Case #16011506:

Anthony M. Verrilli, 24, of Paterson, N.J., was arrested on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at 1:02 a.m., for Possession of CDS.

While on patrol, Ptl. Bast observed Verrilli’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Bridge Street and Lambert Lane. Ptl. Bast stopped Verrilli in the area of Bridge Street and Gordon’s Alley. Subsequent to investigation, Verrilli was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a black metal grinder containing suspected marijuana residue.

He was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Speeding. Verrilli was later released with a pending court date.

Case #17000246:

Keith M. Naylor, 22, of Lambertville, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 12:32 a.m., for Possession of CDS.

While on patrol, Ptl. Pascoe observed Naylor’s vehicle traveling in the area of State Highway 29 and Alexauken Creek Road in the left lane of travel on the two lane highway with no other traffic on the roadway. Ptl. Pascoe stopped Naylor in the area of State Highway 29 and the Holcombe Riverview Cemetary. Subsequent to investigation, Naylor was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a blue glass pipe containing suspected marijuana residue. He was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Naylor was later released with a pending court date.
