Town and Country Players (T&C) invites one and all to travel to the Land of Snow and Sweets with its next production, “The Nutcracker.” The theater group has joined forces with the Dance Arts Collaborative of Plumsteadville to bring this family favorite ballet to life.

The story of “The Nutcracker” has been popular with American audiences since the 1940s. The fairy tale sees a young girl, Clara, take an adventure through the Land of Snow and of Sweets with her nutcracker doll-turned-prince. The story features a battle with an evil Rat King and a visit with the Sugar Plum Fairy before Clara wakes up under the Christmas tree.

This production will feature the dance talent of Reina Faith’s students along with T&C’s performers in the adult roles.

“Our performances are a great way to introduce kids to the beauty of this holiday ballet,” observed Director Nancy Ridgeway.

“The Nutcracker” will appear on Nov. 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m., and Nov. 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under, and are available online by visiting T&C’s website, or by calling (800) 838-3006. T&C is located at 4158 old York Road in Buckingham.

Town and Country Players is a non-profit community theater whose goal is to bring the theatrical experience to local residents while enjoying the effort to the fullest. Town and Country Players membership is open to anyone with an interest in theater and the desire to help.Save
