Lambertville police blotter: DUIs; receiving stolen property; meth possession

Case #16001983:

Severiano M. Cortez, 27, of Lambertville, was arrested on March 9, 2016 at 4:35 a.m. for multiple violations.

While on routine patrol, Sgt. Memolo observed Cortez’s vehicle traveling in the area of Brunswick Avenue with a fictitious license plate. Sgt. Memolo stopped Cortez in the area of Brunswick and Highland avenues. Subsequent to investigation, Cortez was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. In addition, Cortez was found to have an ATS warrant out of Lambertville in the amount of $841.

Cortez was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended, Unlicensed Driver, Fictitious Plates, and Unregistered Vehicle. Cortez posted bail in full and was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001682:

Miguel R. Suarez, 33, of New Hope, was arrested on March 10, 2016 at 10:03 a.m. for Receiving Stolen Property.

While on routine patrol, Ptl. Pascoe observed Suarez riding a black Trek mountain bike in the parking lot of Fine Food and Flowers. The bike matched the description of a bike that was reported stolen on 02/28/16. Ptl. Pascoe made contact with Suarez and confirmed the bike’s serial number, which matched the serial number of the reported stolen bike. Suarez was placed under arrest and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Suarez was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16002148:

Walter E. Anderocci, 71, of Whitehouse Station, N.J., was arrested on March 15, 2016 at 9:22 p.m. for DUI.

While on routine patrol, Ptl. Albani observed Anderocci’s vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Bridge and Main streets. Ptl. Albani stopped Anderocci in the parking lot of Lambertville Public School. Subsequent to investigation, Anderocci was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and placed under arrest. Ptl. Albani charged Anderocci with DUI, Careless Driving, and Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing. Anderocci was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16002227:

Gregory McWhite, 62, of Philadelphia, was arrested on March 18, 2016 at 2:20 p.m. for an active warrant.

Sgt. Gramlich responded to the area of State Highway 29 and Mount Hope Street for a report of an aggressive driver. Sgt. Gramlich stopped McWhite’s vehicle in the area of South Union Street and Ferry Street. Subsequent to investigation, McWhite was found to have an active ACS warrant out of Trenton in the amount of $445.

In addition, McWhite had an ACS warrant out of Hamilton and Lawrence. McWhite was placed under arrest and processed for the warrants. McWhite was unable to post bail and an ROR was placed on all three warrants. McWhite was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended. McWhite was later released with a pending court date.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office

Samantha M. Bye was indicted in New Jersey Superior Court for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, in Lambertville on New Year’s Day.
