Lambertville Police blotter: DUIs; warrants; fisticuffs

Case #16001533:

Brandon C. Ennis, 24, of Lambertville was arrested on Feb. 23, 2016 at 9:15 p.m. for an active warrant.

Ptl. Bast met with Ennis at police headquarters regarding a character reference for a firearms application. Ptl. Bast was aware of an active warrant for Ennis out of Washington Township in the amount of $290. Ptl. Bast formally placed Ennis under arrest, and processed him for the warrant. Ennis was unable to post bail and an ROR was placed on the warrant. Ennis was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001547:

Benjamin B. Hernandez, 41, of Lambertville, and Carlos Vasquez, 45, of Lambertville, were arrested on Feb. 24, 2016 at 9:41 a.m. for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

Patrols responded to a residential address for a report of a fight in progress. Patrols arrived on scene and observed Hernandez and Vasquez separated, each with minor injuries. Hernandez and Vasquez both reported they had been in a fight as patrols were arriving. Hernandez and Vasquez were taken into custody by Lt. Brown and Ptl. Cooper. Hernandez and Vasquez were each charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Hernandez and Vasquez were later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001628:

Kristy L. Aro, 36, of Flemington, N.J., was arrested on Feb. 27, 2016 at 3:25 a.m. for DUI.

While on routine patrol, Lt. Brown observed Aro’s vehicle driving erratically in the area of Coryell Street. Lt. Brown stopped Aro in the area of Coryell Street and North Main Street. Subsequent to investigation, Aro was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree rendering her incapable of safe driving. Aro was placed under arrest and processed for the DUI. Lt. Brown charged Aro with DUI, Obstructing Passage of Another Vehicle, and Careless Driving. Aro was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001678:

Lev V. Kozorovsky, 27, of Southampton, was arrested on Feb. 28, 2016 4:18 p.m. for an active warrant.

While on routine patrol, Sgt. Gramlich observed Kozorovsky’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of State Highway 29. Sgt. Gramlich stopped Kozorovsky in the area of Swan and Stryker streets. Subsequent to investigation, Kozorovsky was found to have an active ATS warrant out of Wall Township in the amount of $200.

Kozorovsky was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. Kozorovsky was unable to post bail, and an ROR was placed on the warrant. Kozorovsky was later released with a pending court date. Kozorovsky was  issued a summons for Speeding.

Case #16001784:

Perry R. Shumake, 29, of Ewing, N.J., was arrested on March 3, 2016 at 12:28 a.m. for an active warrant.

While on routine patrol, Ptl. Pascoe conducted a random plate inquiry on Shumake’s vehicle. The lookup revealed Shumake to have a suspended driver’s license.

Ptl. Pascoe stopped Shumake in the area of South Union and Bridge streets. Subsequent to investigation, Shumake was found to have an active ATS warrant out of Lawrenceville Township in the amount of $900. Shumake was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. Shumake was able to post bail and was later released with a pending court date. Shumake was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended.

Case #16001794:

Jack L. Raker, 48, of Titusville, N.J .was arrested on March 3, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. for an active warrant.

While on routine patrol, Sgt. Memolo conducted a random plate inquiry on Raker’s vehicle. The lookup revealed the registration to be expired.

Sgt. Memolo stopped Raker in the area of Lambert Lane and Coryell Street. Subsequent to investigation, Raker was found to have an active ATS warrant out of Hopewell Township in the amount of $240. Raker was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. Raker was able to post bail and was later released. He was issued a summons for driving an Unregistered Vehicle.

Case #16001820:

Louis K. Marut, 50, of Lambertville, was arrested on March 4, 2016 at 8:56 a.m. for an active warrant.

Marut turned himself into police headquarters to satisfy an active warrant issued out of Hopewell Township in the amount of $500. Sgt. Memolo formally arrested Marut and processed him for the warrant. Marut posted bail in full and was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001838:

Dennis S. Liana, 27, of Stockton, NJ., was arrested on March 4, 2016 at 9:49 p.m. for an active warrant.

While on routine patrol, Ptl. Pascoe conducted a random plate inquiry on Liana’s vehicle. The lookup revealed Liana to have an ATS warrant out of Trenton in the amount of $2500. Ptl. Pascoe stopped Liana in the area of North Franklin and Coryell streets. Liana was placed under arrest and processed for the warrant. He was unable to post bail and an ROR was placed on the warrant. Liana was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001845:

Zachary T. Marcus, 21, of East Windsor, N.J., was arrested on March 5, 2016 at 1:20 a.m. for DUI.

While on routine patrol, Lt. Brown observed Marcus’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of State Highway 29. Lt. Brown stopped Marcus in the area of State Highway 29 and Weeden Street. Subsequent to investigation, Gerald was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree rendering him incapable of safe driving.

Marcus was placed under arrest and processed for the DUI. Lt. Brown charged Marcus with DUI, Careless Driving, Speeding, and Failure to Inspect. Marcus was later released with a pending court date.

Case #16001850:

Andrew M. Barnabei, 26, of Yardley, PA was arrested on March 5, 2016 at 6:10 a.m. for DUI.

Lt. Brown and Ptl. Wurpel responded to the area of the towpath between the Lambertville Station and Cavallo Park for a report of vehicle parked and idling with one male occupant. Patrol located the suspect vehicle on the tow path and made contact with the driver. Subsequent to investigation, Barnabei was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree rendering him incapable of safe driving.

Barnebei was placed under arrest and processed for the DUI. Ptl. Wurpel charged Barnabei with DUI, Careless Driving, Driving on a Closed Road, and Expired Registration. He was later released with a pending court date.
