Candidates named for May 19 New Hope Borough Council and New Hope-Solebury School Board primary elections

New Hope Borough Council candidates Gialias and Kingsley

A list of candidates for New Hope Borough Council, New Hope School Board director, and New Hope Constable primary elections being held May 19, 2015 has been released on the official Bucks County website.

While names of those seeking office have been bandied about borough streets for days, with neither official political party demonstrating an over-abundance of transparency, the “unofficial” identities of candidates have now appeared online, and are as follows:

New Hope Borough Council, four-year term of office (vote for not more than three):

Democrats – Laurie McHugh, Alison Kingsley, Ken Maisel

Republicans – Nick Gialias (two candidate slots unfilled)

New Hope Constable, six-year term (vote for one):

Democrat – Frank DeLuca

Republican – David Wiley

New Hope-Solebury School Director, four-year term (vote for five):

Democrats: Kathy Feehan, Jeffrey Kearney, Mark Cowell, Douglas J. McDonough, Scott H.Kelley, Jennifer Gormley, John J. Capriotti, Maria Povacz, and Jonathan Adar

Republicans: Kathy Feehan, Jeffrey Kearney, Mark Cowell, Douglas J. McDonough, Scott H.Kelley, Jennifer Gormley, John J. Capriotti, Maria Povacz, and Jonathan Adar

 

The General Primary will be held May 19, 2015. Polls are open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Last day to register before the primary is April 20, 2015. The General Election is on November 4, 2015.
