The annual Bucks County Bluegrass Festival will be held on September 6 and 7 on the pastures of Snipes Farm in Morrisville, PA. Headlining this year’s festival is New Jersey’s own extraordinary banjoist and internationally known bluegrass musician, Tony Trischka.
The New York Times has called Tony Trischka the “Godfather of New Acoustic Music” as he is perhaps the most influential banjo player in the roots music world. For more than 35 years, his unique music style has inspired a whole generation of bluegrass and acoustic musicians.
Also playing the festival are HogMaw, Glimmer Grass Band, Free Grass Union, Colin Reeves, Jersey Corn Pickers, The Turnips, Sully’s Fortune, Big Valley Bluegrass, Evan and the Bugs, and Boulevard Express.
The family-friendly event will start on Friday, Sept. 6 with gates open at 5 p.m. and music starting at 6:30 p.m. and running until 10:30 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 7, gates open at 9 a.m. with music beginning at 11 a.m. and running all day until 11 p.m.
Music at Snipes Farm is a unique music venue, hosting a variety of concerts and festivals since 2003. Bring a blanket and beach chairs and enjoy the the beauty of nature while grooving on the tunes.
Ticket prices for the Bucks County Bluegrass Festival are: Sept. 6 $15 advance purchase/$20 day of show; Sept. 7 $25 for advance purchase and $30 day of show; VIP All Weekend Ticket w/ Event Poster $40 advance; $50 day of show/gate; Tent camping is FREE; RV and trailer camping are available on a very limited basis – advance purchase is strongly advised – RV and trailer tickets can be purchased through TicketLeap online. We cannot guarantee RV and trailer space without an advance ticket.
