The New Hope Park and Recreation Board will be honoring John Larsen of John & Peter’s on January 30, 2015 from 7 – 11 pm at the Event Center at Cornerstone at the Eagle Fire House. An icon in New Hope, John opened a coffee house on South Main Street in 1972 – which is now John & Peter’s. In 1979 John and a group of business owners (Sid Ginsberg, Yanek Liebgold, Jim Carpenter and Robin Larsen) started the Chamber of Commerce. In 1993 the first New Hope Outdoor Art Show took place and is still a major attraction in New Hope. The theme for the evening is “Jam for John” and will feature music by River Blues and Sound Waves, Lyle Rickards, Guy Heller and Snackpile and The Deen Ween Group. Food will be provided by many of our wonderful local restaurants. Cash bar. Ticket Price: $30
