Eric Sommer at John and Peters in New Hope
Eric has been on the road – and highway – for a bit now, and his generally calm disposition belies a chaotic and storied past: founder and frontman for Boston power pop cult band The Atomics, house band at Cantone’s in Post Office Square, tours and shows with Mission of Burma, Gang of Four, Dead Kennedy’s, and with Nick Lowe bands Bram Tchaikovsky and Wreckless Eric… some big jumbo.
Eric has shared many a stage and tour bus with some cool acoustic folks, too: David Bromberg, John Mayall, Dr. John, Leon Redbone and Chris Smither, Jerry Douglas, Andy McKee, Sarah Watkins – just too many to name… and currently does around 250 shows a year.
