The Nancy Lloyd, Solo exhibition, opening December 5 at Nancy Lloyd Fine Art will display a plethora of Nancy’s paintings, including a variety of subject matter, from landscapes to abstracts and beyond. A holiday reception will be held Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13, from 11 am to 5 pm. Original art is available for every budget with some items reduced up to 50%. The exhibition will continue through February 28. Nancy Lloyd Fine Art, located at 1695 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA, is open Saturdays and Sundays, 11 am to 5 pm.
Nancy Lloyd lived and studied art for nine years in Asia. The impact of the combination of her American upbringing and 12 years of expat experiences are evident in her artwork, influencing subject matter and the presentation of the image on the surface. She has applied her luminous, impressionistic style to plein air pieces, works of the imagination, and studio set-ups. Her enthusiasm for the subject matter is conveyed through the use of a limited palette and expressive textures. While Nancy’s experiences living abroad have exposed her to artistic techniques in use world-wide, a major influence was training with Emmy Award-winning David Dunlop, based in Silvermine, Connecticut.
