The historic Prallsville Mills will once again be the backdrop for the River Reads book festival on Sunday, Oct. 15th from 10 to 4pm. Book lovers of all ages can meet and mingle with authors, attend workshops, and readings and learn a little local history.

More than 45 authors covering genres from children’s favorites and women’s fiction to science fiction and local history will fill the Mill.

River Reads was created by author Brandi Megan Granett. A passionate supporter of all things literary, Granett is an English professor, author, writing coach and contributor to the Huffington Post Blog. Her latest novel is Triple Love Score.

When she is not writing or teaching or mothering, you will find her on the archery range, or planning a literary festival. Granett, who joined the Board of Directors for Prallsville says, “I am excited to once again bring together an outstanding group of authors, many of whom live right here in the Delaware Valley,’ said Granett. “To be able to showcase our work in such an historic venue is a special.”

The long list of authors at River Reads represents every genre from children’s picture books to science fiction, history and mystery. The complete list can be found at www.prallsvillemills.org.

River Reads will also feature Bonjour Creperie, wine tastings by Unionville Winery and children’s activities, face painting, blind date with a book sales to benefit the Mill, and the chance to win a book-themed t-shirt from indie bookseller, The Book Garden. What better way to spend a crisp fall day than discovering that perfect fireside book, or two!
