
Peddler’s Village will usher in the holiday season this year with its Holiday Kickoff Weekend.
The festivities will start with the ceremonial Grand Illumination Celebration on Friday, Nov. 14. as Santa and Mrs. Claus will switch on a display of 1 million colorful lights throughout the village that sits in Buckingham and Solebury townships.
The celebration begins at 4:30 p.m. with entertainment, including sing-alongs, carolers and musical performances by hosts Martin and Kelly. The fun culminates with the lights being illuminated at 6:15 p.m.
Peddler’s Village officials said the shops will remain open until 10 p.m.
Peddler’s Village’s holiday light display will remain lit nightly through Jan. 17.
The Holiday Kickoff Weekend, which runs through Sunday, Nov. 16.
The weekend also marks the opening of the 42nd Annual Gingerbread Competition and Display. More than 100 gingerbread creations crafted by local residents and bakers will be displayed at the Visitor and Event Center through Jan. 17.
Named the No. 2 shopping center in the country by USA Today, Peddler’s Village features more than 60 specialty shops and boutiques, the majority of which are locally owned small businesses.
During the season, the outdoor village offers festive dining and to-go beverages, live entertainment, carolers, and shopping along its brick pathways.
