Stockton man charged with voter fraud

Authorities on Saturday announced the arrest of a Stockton, N.J., man on voter fraud charges.

Brian C. Shilling, age 53, was arrested on Friday and charged with third degree fraud in casting a mail-in vote, third degree tampering with public record, fourth degree unsworn falsification to authorities, fourth degree falsifying records and disorderly persons offense, and offering a false statement for filing.

“Mr. Shilling falsely completed the ballot, forging the signature of another certifying the ballot and sending in the fraudulent ballot to the Hunterdon County Board of Elections purporting that it was cast by another,” said Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams.

Suspects and arrested persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law or until such rights are waived by the accused.

  • Paper ballots are too antiquated.

The vote cast is far to visible to too many fallible human eyes

Who came up with the idea of paper ballots?

I thought they ditched insecure paper ballots years ago…. in the 1800s.

Also if one uses the wrong type of pen, it invalidates the vote.
