Chester was born on July 24, 1936, in Flemington, New Jersey. He was the fourth child born to Leo and Florence Peterson Reasoner. He grew up in a large and loving family and attended Flemington High School.

He met and courted Brenda Marie Daniels, and the two were married on March 18, 1961, at the Flemington Methodist Church. They established their home in Lambertville, and raised four children: Chester L., Cheryl M., Richard E. and Roger S. Reasoner. Chester was employed at C. A. He was also instrumental in raising funds for the restoration of the Lambertville Fire Department’s antique pumper, the Ahrens Fox. He was a skilled woodworker.

Chester was a supporter of youth sports in Lambertville, and enjoyed coaching the Ramblers peewee football team for many years. After hanging up his coach’s clipboard, he continued to assist with concessions and other areas of the organization.

Chester was devoted to his family and his community, and was a quiet gentleman of few words whose children knew that just one look meant business.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Florence Reasoner, his sister Evelyn Marie Camon and his brother Thomas (“T-Bird”) Reasoner.
