PHOTOS: New Hope Considers Replacing Parking Meters with Electronic Kiosks

New Hope Borough Council Members Alison Kingsley, Connie Gering, and Laurie McHugh on Monday presented to the rest of council their latest proposal for a new electronic “kiosk” system to replace New Hope’s aging parking meters.

Some of the key slides from the presentation are included here for your viewing pleasure courtesy of the sub-committee.

They’ll next present their plans at the Feb. 21 borough council meeting, and encourage attendance and feedback from the community.

  • I wish we spent as much time figuring out ways to attract people to town to help the small business owners as we do on parking meters. I understand the revenue the meters generate….I would prefer more of the focus shift to getting more of the parking spots filled with people spending money and enjoying our town.
