N.J. Crime Beat – Cocaine, Heroin in Lambertville; Assault on Trooper in Kingwood; Heroin Busts in Delaware, West Amwell

  • A Hunterdon County grand jury on Sept. 29 indicted Marcelino B. Fuertes for distributing more than one-half ounce of cocaine in Lambertville on July 6. The grand jurors charged Fuertes with one count of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in the second degree.
  • A Hunterdon County grand jury on Oct.13 indicted Justin Manitta for possessing heroin on July 4 in Lambertville. He was charged with one count of CDS possession in the third degree.

Kingwood

  • Richard K. Ubell was indicted by a Hunterdon County grand jury on Sept. 29 for causing bodily injury to Trooper J. Porch while resisting arrest in Kingwood Township on July 29. The grand jurors charged Ubell with one count of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer in the third degree, and one count of resisting arrest in the third degree.

Delaware Township

  • A Hunterdon County grand jury on Oct. 13 indicted Gregory Bowles for possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, intent to distribute less than one-half ounce of heroin, and conspiracy to possess heroin, in Delaware Township. The grand jurors charged Bowles with two counts of CDS possession in the third degree, posession of CDS with intent to distribute in the third degree, and conspiracy to possess CDS (third degree).

West Amwell

  • Edwin J. Rodriguez was indicted by a Hunterdon County grand jury on Oct. 13 for threatening to kill an individual identified only as “P.W.,” attempting to injure P.W. with a box cutter, and possessing a weapon, on Aug. 22 in the Township of West Amwell. The grand jurors charged Rodriguez with one count of making terroristic threats in the third degree, one count of aggravated assault in the third degree, one count of possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third degree), and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon in the third degree.
  • Lawrence K. Sapp and Blaire T. Goode were indicted by a Hunterdon Grand jury on Oct. 13 for selling heroin on July 7 in the Township of West Amwell. Sapp reportedly “negotiated the distribution of heroin in West Amwell, then did travel with heroin and Blaire Goode to West Amwell, at which point Blaire Good did distribute said heroin.” The amount of heroin involved was less than one-half ounce, and both were charged with one count each in the third degree of conspiracy to distribute CDS and distribution of CDS.
