New Hope-based Scannapieco Development Corporation on Monday hosted an official model home groundbreaking ceremony for The Residences at Rabbit Run Creek at the northernmost end of the borough.

Scannapieco Development Corporation originally detailed plans in November 2015 for the new exclusive townhome community just north of Route 202 in New Hope. The model will be open by early fall and the community’s first residents will move in late 2016.

On completion, the project will comprise 37 “ultra-luxury” townhomes situated within a gated community.

rabbit runFull customization is apparently a key feature of the 42-foot-wide, two-story residences, which will range in size from 3,583 to 3,685 square feet, and offer open floor plans with private elevators and courtyards.

  • The teacher in me just goes through Pink Flamingo’s rants with my red pen correcting every other word. Don’t waste your time GODette, it’s hopeless. On a positive note, it doesn’t seem to bother her one bit!

  • I’m sure they will turn out to be quite attractive. Still, it’s a pity the builder couldn’t find a better site as they are essentially jammed in between the highway and Sunset Drive. The new residents will get to listen to the traffic on 202 all night, and walking to/from this complex will be tough. Maybe the gates will justify the whole thing.

    • Really NChase, that’s your main concern: 202 noise and the gates as justification? Don’t forget the location is perfect! Hope in your car to work in NJ and avoid paying their high taxes! The entire population of New Hope is affected with noise! Train whistles, motorcycles, traffic, etc…this is not a rural community. Its a town in the middle of the Mid Atlantic metropolis. Sunset Drive is a beautiful mature neighborhood with plenty of buffer. Is this just elitist and snobbery at its finest or what?

      • I can tell you are trying to do things right Pink. Unfortunately, you have no idea how to write a sentence or use proper punctuation. I am starting to get concerned that you may be drinking while you are posting on this forum. Please let me know i there is anything I can do to help.

    • I’m going to be curious to see if these Ultra Luxury homes will have the demand the developers seem to think. Townhomes next to 202 that isn’t located downtown (wrong side of 202)….there is usually some give and take in most real estate transactions…but I’m puzzled by this location given the price point. The amenities and the soundproofing on the unites will have to be spectacular….

      We shall see…

  • “Ultra Luxury” makes me sick. Where is the safe, modern and affordable housing for everyone else? How about a two bedroom for $500. a month? That would be something really worth celebrating!
