If it walks like a duck…it’s the Stockton Inn

Stockton Inn at NightThe Stockton Inn’s Executive Chef Alan Heckman will partner with Philadelphia-based Chef Nick Farina for an autumnal tasting menu featuring duck in all its delectable forms.

The 5-course special duck dinner debuts on Wednesday, Sept. 30, and will carry a $75 per person price tag (plus tax and gratuity). The unusual and intriguing dinner menu will be available through Nov. 1, except Mondays and Tuesdays.

“Duck is a delicious, decadent, versatile poultry that pairs so beautifully with fall produce, from luscious, lean duck breast to a big fat flavor blast of duck confit, or the exquisitely creamy, rich foie gras in our dessert — yes, dessert!,” observed Heckman.

Heckman’s kitchen partner for the special menu, Farina, is chef/owner of the award-winning Verdad Restaurant & Tequila Bar in Bryn Mawr, Union Taco in Manayunk, and EAT in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood. He cooked at the Grand Tier at New York’s fabled Metropolitan Opera house, was chef de cuisine at Solaris Grill, and served as a personal chef to local celebrities and athletes before opening his own restaurant in 2009.

So, get your ducks in a row by heading on down to the Stockton Inn, located at 1 S. Main St., in Stockton, N.J.

  • I’d like very specific info on reservations….do,I need to reserve a drink in the lounge before?
Really unhappy last visit…when we had a second drink, they actually told us we had not reserved the space…and pushed us to an empty dining room.
