  1. LoriStag@Gmail.com' Lori Stagnitto LAMBERTVILLE ANIMAL WELFARE says:

LAMBERTVILLE ANIMAL WELFARE received a frantic request for help from a bystander at the site where the baby ducklings had fallen into a sewer drain and the Mama duck was crying from above. Local police and fire fighters did not have the knowledge or equipment to rescue the duckings. Lambertville Animal Welfare immediately contacted our Animal Control Officer Nate Barson across the River and he showed up on the scene and was able to secure/net all the baby ducklings from the sewer drain as well as the Mom duck. He will recuperate them overnight with proper food and release them back to New Hope tomorrow. We would like to convince New Hope and Lambertville to buy new sewer drain covers which prevents baby ducklings from falling into them as this happens a number of times a year and is very upsetting for all involved! Who wants to help with this??? Thank you to everyone and especially Officer Nate Barson for coming to the rescue! Lori/LAMBERTVILLE ANIMAL WELFARE
