Lambertville and New Hope police blotters: DUIs, CDS possession, shoplifting

Lambertville Police Department

Jan. 05, 2015 — Det. Miloszar was detailed to a minor motor vehicle crash in the area of 11 Bridge Street. Investigation at the scene revealed that the striking party had left the area prior to police arrival. Det. Miloszar located the striking vehicle and driver on North Union Street. Jay Hertz of Lambertville was charged with Reckless driving, Failure to report being involved in a motor vehicle crash, DUI and Possession of CDS under 50g.

Jan. 09, 2014 — On this date, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Lt. Brown observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on York Street. Grant Parker of Lambertville was arrested and charged with Blocking passage of other vehicles, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Possession of CDS under 50g.

Jan. 10, 2015— On this date, at approximately 12:50 p.m., Ptl. Albani was detailed to the Swan Hotel at 43 S. Main St. for a dumpster fire. Ptl. Albani arrived on scene, and was able to extinguish the fire prior to it spreading. The Lambertville Fire Department arrived on scene, and deemed the fire was accidental and no charges are expected.

Jan. 19, 2014 – Case #15000295: Elizabeth Reynolds, of Acquired Antiques and Collectibles, based out of the Peoples Store, reported that on two separate occasions items were taken from her store. Lt. Brown is investigating.

New Hope Police Department

Dec. 16, 2014 –  At 2:06 a.m. police arrested Barbara Allen, 44, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, after she was observed operating her vehicle in an unlawful manner on South Main Street.

December 17, 2014 –  At 7:40 p.m. police cited Rolando Martinez Buendia, 34, of New Hope, for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness, as a result of an incident which occurred at a South Main Street store.
